Dear Experts,

I've a query that I am sure that you will be able to help me out with.

I have a leased line between my two of my offices each side served by a
different Service Provider with an interconnect between them. I have explained
the setup Below

Point A :

L2 Protocol : HDLC

Interface Type : E1 Controller G.703

Point B :

L2 Protocol : HDLC

Interface Type : E1 Controller V.35

The issue is I cat get both sides to comunicate. I have tried the following
combintations in terms of framing

1) Unframed

2) 1-31 Time slots

I also tried generating a network loop from the E1 Controller @ point A and
this is seen by the remote router. End to End testing has been done on the
circuit and there are no errors.

The Symptom is that the Serial Interface comes up but line protocol is down. I
tried all corrective action on the cisco website.

I would also like to mention that when the service provider plus in his router
with a G.703 interface in point B, the circuit comes up with a channelised
E1.

Can someone tell if both interfaces has to be of the same type for it to talk
, or can G.703 talk to V.35 ?

I would reallyy appreciate it if anyone can give me a lead or clue as to what
I might be doing wrong.

Regards,

Ranjith Samuel.
