ospf issue

Hi Group,

I have faced one issue with ospf.
R1 ------ R2
running point to point ospf were not forming ospf adjacency
I have checked every possible cause and turned debug on only message is got
was that the far end in dead
I have restarted ospf process..... have remove and added the network
statement again but it did not worked.

Then I have removed network statement from the existing ospf process and
created a new ospf process and added this statement into it. It worked and
formed adjacency.

Please advise what could be possible cause.
