OSPF router-id and net 0.0.0.0 in the LAB

Hello,

In the LAB:
Is it safe to assign OSPF router id on a router even if not instructed ?
Also, if task just says "configure R1 in OSPF area 0", is it safe to type
"net 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 are 0"
Did you or will you use those commands ?
