Brian ,
I tried the option of creating Subinterface. It works fine. With out
applying Frame-rely End-End to Keepalive. Then when we will use frame
end-end keepalive.

If the physical interface changes to up/down, how would it ever know
when the DLCI becomes active again to change back to up/up?

my understanding is that it will take it to UP/Down and that will be
sufficient for a backup interface to kick in ?

Frame Relay end-to-end keepalives can not bring down a physical
interface.

Dear All ,
I have the following scenario.
R1--------(fr)--------r2 . ( R1 connects to R2 using framerelay
Physical interface )
When i shutdown r2 serial interface still on R1 my serial link is
Up , UP , Ofcourse my PVC is down . When i do a backup interface on the
serial for isdn dial , isdn is not kicking since the interface is Up. Is
there a way in Framerelay where we can track the end to end PVC like ATM
we can use to OAM to track the pvc status. I can make it working using
watch group , i am trying for an option to make it work with backup
interface.
