As I wasn't so sure of what happen to interface status if only PVC failed, I compare physical, point-to-point, and multipoints, and concluded the following with verification in my lab. I hope this is correct.

Upon PVC failed,
Physical interface is up and up
Point-to-point subinterface link goes to down/down
Multipoint subinterface is up and up
with below config using end-to-end keepalive, Mulitpoint is down and down

R2
interface Serial0.12 multipoint
        ip address 10.0.0.2 255.255.255.0
        frame-relay class end2end
        frame-relay map ip 10.0.0.1 205 broadcast

map-class frame-relay end2end
        frame-relay end-to-end keepalive mode request

R1
interface Serial0
        ip address 10.0.0.1 255.255.255.0
        encapsulation frame-relay
        frame-relay class end2end
        frame-relay map ip 10.0.0.2 502 broadcast

map-class frame-relay end2end
frame-relay end-to-end keepalive mode reply
