LC vs SC Fibre optic patch panel

The majority of equipment now comes in LC because most manufacturers are
making smaller and more dense line cards. However from personal experience
SC connectors are more suitable for Patch Panels because they are easy to
manage and use, LC connectors can be very fiddly to install and their push
lock mechanism isnt as good as SC.

Is the above statement true or for new installs are LC patch panels are
better options. Please advise from your experiences..
