Hi all,
I'm working a lab where the requirement states to make sure that the
links between the 4 switches do not attempt to automatically trunk using
DTP.
My solution to that requirement was to configure "switchport
nonegotiate" on the trunk interfaces. The solution guide has it
configured as "switchport mode dynamic auto".
Couple of questions.....
1) would my solution be acceptable in the real lab?
2) can someone help clarify the difference between "switchport mode
dynamic auto" vs. "switchport nonegotiate" ?
I feel that my solution would work, but in the back of my mind, I feel
as though I'm being tripped up by the wording of the task at hand.
