Dear Chuck,
                  The difference between "*switchport nonegotiate*" &
"s*witchport
mode dynamic auto*" is that "*switchport nonegotiate*" disables DTP on the
interface while for the "*switchport mode dynamic auto*" it configures the
interface to listen to DTP initiated from the other end
