Hmm...
I don't think there is a slowdown. At least not in my own inbox. There are
lots of new data centers to be built or optimized. Lots of growing campus
networks (despite the dead and dying networks) and then there is even the
case where a few networks engineers here and there either progress or die
off for whatever reasons.
So...
I still see lots of opportunities for higher-skilled individuals - at least
in my neck of the woods.
I guess it comes down to which skills one actually has and one's references
and prior history using those skills.
So...
As is always the case, the correct answer is: It depends.
If one is in-between, I'll admit it always looks like things are slow and no
responses will come quick enough.
