I have the following configs
R3
interface FastEthernet0/1
ip address 141.1.36.3 255.255.255.0
ip pim sparse-mode
ip igmp join-group 239.39.39.39
duplex auto
speed auto
standby 1 ip 141.1.36.1
standby 1 priority 120
standby 2 ip 141.1.36.2
standby 2 preempt
R6
interface FastEthernet0/0
ip address 141.1.36.6 255.255.255.0
duplex auto
speed auto
standby 1 ip 141.1.36.1
standby 1 preempt
standby 2 ip 141.1.36.2
standby 2 priority 130
This should make R3 the active router for group 1 and R6 the active router for
group 2, but I get R3 as the active router for both groups. Why is that?
heres the show standby from R6. R3 is the active router for both groups(note
I've played with the priorities so their different than the configs)
