The following is copied from Cisco website:
"An interface with Port Fast enabled goes through the normal cycle of STP
status changes when the switch is restarted."
If the above is true, what is the benefit of portfast? I originally think
one of the advantage of portfast is for the switch to bypass the normal
cycle of STP and put the port into forwarding state, however, what I read
from the Cisco website says the contrary.
Can anyone please let me know?
