Hello,
This is my first post and 'sorry' for it's non-technical.
I appreciate your views on what follows.
I sat the lab for the second time last month and couldn't get through in
both parts, i.e I failed, but not miserably.
I've been preparing for last 2 years and for last one month I haven't
touched a book, or DOC site, or any related thing, just because I was
frustrated enough.
I understand completely that I need to practice more and learn more. Esp. a
couple of usually neglected topics in the blueprint and that's not about
blocking the web traffic. - |
I used IPX only, can't afford multiple vendors, but I did only vol 1 and 2,
a few times. Didn't touch the vol 3. Also, I didn't attend any boot-camp
because of financial constraints. What I did -is- self study, GNS3, and
rack rental. Most of the time I made my own topologies and practiced
technology on them. This time I plan to revise 1 and 2, and exercise Vol 3.
I think, that my lack of experience in the industry is doing me harm.
So, I want to ask - how much does this affect in prep for the lab? As I
don't have any industrial experience (I tried 3-4 times during last year-
but all they need is experience(1-2 years) no matter you have a skill-set
of a professional and you are ready to work as an associate, but they don't
care- at-least the one's where I applied.)
Also, Do I have to practice another vendor WBs, is it --that much
"required". And how about a boot-camp being a necessity ? Obviously It
helps a lot (I guess), but is it imperative to attend one to become able to
pass the Lab.
Thanks
