Here are some direct answers to your questions that reflect my opinion.

1. How much does your lack of experience in the industry hurt you? The
answer - some! :) It would be great if you had industry experience in the
technologies you are being tested on, but is this a requirement. No it is
not. Cisco loves to make the claim that you could not pass the lab without
such experience, but this is just not true. Take a bright teenager, give
him the gear, the DOC-CD, vendor materials, and some cocaine - and he
passes the lab within three months. :)

2. Do you practice with another vendor workbook? If you can afford it, it
cannot hurt. Download a sample of other materials and see if those
materials would be of benefit. Be careful that you do not acquire so much
material that you are simply buried in it. That will not help at all and
will actually really hurt your progress.

3. Is a bootcamp required? Once again, no. It can help tremendously, when
it meets your requirements, but plenty pass without it all of the time.
Interestingly, you seem to be an excellent candidate for a bootcamp as you
have gotten close to passing the actual lab. The number one issue with
students in bootcamps is that they go too damn early in their preparation.
It helps to be able to Telnet before you go. :)

Given that resources for more workbooks and bootcamps seems to be an issue
for you, what I recommend you do is start posting here your issues. I
would think that after your second not pass in the lab, you have a pretty
good sense for what is going wrong. For example, if you are not passing
the TS section due to its severe time constraints - start a thread here
regarding things you can do to plug this leak in your strategy. GroupStudy
certainly could use a healthy dose of CCIE R&S lab discussions lately -
you will be doing the list a favor.
