Well, I'm on that side (i.e. I like infrastructure links to be fixed in
whatever speed / duplex they have to be) but this is obviously kind of
a late thing, given that there is litle "infrastructure" running at
these speeds nowadays...

But if that was the case, what are the pros to auto ?

(That pdf link was dead to me BTW)
