All,
I hate writing such generic questions, but I am stumped on this one. I am
trying to bring up an IPv4 PE-to-PE relationship on two 2691s running as
PEs. My lab is a simply setup where I have two routers in a box
(r3--r6--r5--r4--r3) where I am running OSPF as my IGP. LDP is the label
swaping protocol and I have full reachability between all routers. The
IPV4 iBGP setup is between routers r3 and r4. When I do the generic iBGP
peering, they come right up. However, when I attempt to activate the peer
relationship under th address family, first off I don't see the BGP peering
up (under show ip bgp vpnv4 sum) on either side.
I've combed over the configs and made sure my route-targets are the same (on
both sides), the ldp is up (yes) that rechability between the two loopbacks
exist (yes, under the igp between all four routers), but I can't get the BGP
IPv4 relationship up. I can however, get a normal iBGP relationship up
between the two routers (so reachability is not an issue). Its just when I
attempt to activate it under the address family and look for the
relationship between the two routers that I don't see it.
I could throw up configs (so that everybody sees it), but I was wondering is
anyone has seen this issue before. I am running this setup purely on
dynamips, and the simulated routers are two 2691s running Advanced
Enterprises IOS 12.4(15)T13.
Would appreciate is anyone has seen this issue and could give me a hint into
my problem.
Thanks.
