Hi GS'ers,

Been having some trouble with IPv6 multicast and can't seem to find the
answer anywhere.

How does one configure a router to be RP for a single mcast group, i.e. a
/128?

I've tried static-rp & BSR, but I get errors and it doesn't work

### using static-RP

RSRack8R5(config)# ipv6 access-list RP-LIST
RSRack8R5(config-ipv6-acl)# permit any host FF05:1:1:1::1

RSRack8R5(config)# ipv6 pim rp-address 2001:150:8:5::5 RP-LIST
%Error: Group prefix must be less than 128, skipping FF05:1:1:1::1/128

! by entering the command again, the IOS will not report an error, however
the group is silently ignored (witnessed by the group not being shown in
"show ipv6 pim groups")

### using BSR

! same ACL definition for RP-LIST

! add "debug ipv6 pim bsr"

RSRack8R5(config)# ipv6 pim bsr candidate rp 2001:150:8:5::5 group-list
RP-LIST
*Mar 1 03:39:54.959: IPv6 BSR: Building C-RP Adv for 2001:150:8:5::5,
priority 192, holdtime 150
*Mar 1 03:39:54.963: IPv6 BSR: Ignoring invalid prefix FF05:1:1:1::1/128 -
Not added to C-RP Adv

This one's got me heavily stuck, so any help will be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,
Gavin
