Unfortunately, "ipv6 mld access-group" will only filter out incoming MLD
messages, not configure the router to act as an RP for the single group
- which is what my question is.

This one is curly... There doesn't seem to be any references on the
internet regarding configuring RP for a single mcast group.

Kind regards,
Gavin

hi,

you can configure it on the interface of the RP

Assume the RP is Rx :
interface fa0/1
 ipv6 mld access-group ACL-for-IPv6

ipv6 access-list ACL-for-IPv6
 permit ipv6 any host x::x:x
