Hello.
I know this has to be a really silly problem but it has eluded me. This is from IE lab 2 3.2
I have two routers R4 and R5 directly connected via serial0/1 on both with a ppp link that I can't get to come up. The line protocol is down and i can't ping the other side. When i removed the authentication from the config same results.
The config on R4 is
username R4 password 0 CISCO
interface Serial0/1
ip address 132.1.45.4 255.255.255.0
encapsulation ppp
ppp authentication chap
ppp chap hostname R4
end
The config on R5 is
username R4 password 0 CISCO
interface Serial0/1
ip address 132.1.45.5 255.255.255.0
encapsulation ppp
ppp authentication chap
ppp chap hostname R5
end
Enter configuration commands, one per line. End with CNTL/Z.
