You MUST match EXACTLY the route already in the routing table FIB to use
the "network" command.

If you want to change the mask

Ip route 44.44.44.44 255.255.255.0 null0 254 ("junk" it into the fib to
null0 and a high AD)

Router bgp 10
Redistribute static

Subject: BGP set community

Hi GS

Can anyone explain why I have to use a 32 bit subnet in order to
advertise a network into BGP for example Int lo23 Ip add 44.44.44.44
255.255.255.255

Router bgp 10
Network 44.44.44.44 mask 255.255.255.255 Exit

This is the only way I can get a network to show up in sho ip bgp, if I
try address 44.44.44.44 255.255.255.0 it does not work. Is this
normal bgp behavior or am I missing something?

Thanks for your input
