Hi Anthony,
If you need to console into a CVPN 3000 concentrator, you need two DB-9
connectors and a straight through cable. A regular console cable does not
work for the concentrator.
If you know the private IP address configured on the concentrator, then you
may directly connect your computer to it using a cross over cable, change
the IP address of your computer so that it is in the same range as that of
the concentrator and access the concentrator using the GUI.
HTH,
Thanks and warm regards,

If memory serves, they use a straight-through cable for console.
At least that's what my 3030 takes, and I assume they're all the same.

Subject: VPN 3005 Concentrator
Hello all!
I was blessed with a VPN 3000 Series Concentrator (3005) for my home lab
last week.
The friend took it out of production and sent it to me.
I connected to the Console port - yet I get nothing in response.
Before I start fumbling around more - I thought I would ask here about the
most efficient way to reset this thing and start with new initial
configurations.
Thanks in advance for any assistance.
