I don't recall this specific lab. Is fa0/0 part of a bridge group which is
why BVI is configured?
AFAIK any IP related configuration would always be placed on the logical
interface.
Perhaps this was a typo in the solution guide?
Maybe you can create an ASCII sketch so others can understand the
configuration...
