this is an "odd" addressing scheme, or a least an odd addressing scheme w/
regards to loopbacks. i see that the loopbacks are on a different subnet
insofar that you are using vlsm's, but when you create an area range, i
believe - i say, i say, i believe that you are summarizing to proper network
netmasks. i.e /8, /16, /24........so this would no exclude your loopbacks
from being more specific routes. i'm not sure (i'd have to lab it up) but
you might be able to use a summary-address command to just cover 10.8/30
network......i don't see why this would be a foul, but you would have to lab
it to verify.
sooooo, in summary - i vote "no" for area range, and "yes" for
summary-address.
