Hi,

If you were to ensure that both the routers should be able to Sync with each
other ..you would use peer ...
but if you want one Router to sync with the Other ...then you would use
ntp server --- statement on the client router to tell it the IP of the
Router with which to sync its own clock.

Further, when using authentication, the key on both routers should match. I
suggest you take a look at the link below to have a better understanding of
