Another curious thing about this command ("arp frame-relay"). In the command
reference, they give the following example:

"The following example enables frame relay services:
interface ethernet 0
 arp frame-relay"

http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/software/ios123/123cgcr/ipras
_r/ip1_a1g.htm#wp1079956

Kind of odd they'd apply it to the Ethernet interface, no?

I tried this on a few routers. Although they took the command, there is
seemingly no effect:

R#sh int fa0/0 | i ARP
  Encapsulation ARPA, loopback not set
ARP type: ARPA, ARP Timeout 04:00:00
R#conf t
Enter configuration commands, one per line. End with CNTL/Z.
R(config)#int fa0/0
R(config-if)#arp fr
R(config-if)#^Z
R#sh int fa0/0 | i ARP
  Encapsulation ARPA, loopback not set
ARP type: ARPA, ARP Timeout 04:00:00
R#sh run int fa0/0 | i arp
R#

Maybe a hopeless quest, but I'm now committed to figuring out what this
command ever did...

Reo,

As far as I can tell the "no arp frame-relay" command is
deprecated. I'm sure it served a purpose when it was introduced in IOS
10.0, but in the current versions it does nothing that is immediately
apparent. If anyone has a concrete example of what this command
specifically does I would love to see it.
