Maybe you can answer your own question. Without offending, there was a time
when the US was very interested in Vietnam. Why was that?

You say the cost of living in Vietnam is low but why in the world would,
let's say, someone from the US making $10,000.00 a month want to move half
way around the world to make $2,000.00 a month?
