Hi Group,

Im trying to set up a DHCP pool for a single host on a Cat 3550. When I use
the client-identifier to identify the host I keep getting the following error
when attempting to enter the client-id into the configuration.

r1#
BL-Rack3>10
[Resuming connection 10 to cat1 ... ]

Switch(dhcp-config)#client-id
Switch(dhcp-config)#client-identifier cisco-0030.8570.5ce0-Et0/0
% DHCP could not parse the client identifier. Check character 0 (c).
Switch(dhcp-config)#?
DHCP pool configuration commands:

Any ideas anyone?

Ollie.
