Thanks for your encouragement. I, too, am running out of time. It's only money.

I estimate I've spent about $30,000 so far.

Joseph,
Keep going. I felt the same way after my third attempt. I had waited pretty
much one year between most attempts because it was so hard to get back onto
the routers and do the same things I had been doing over and over. I decided
before my last attempt to go to one of the CCIE prep courses. I studied very
very little between my third and fourth attempt simply because I did not
want to burn out before my last push and the prep course and I felt I knew
all I needed to know, that something just wasn't clicking or there were
things I simply wasn't seeing. I took the prep course about 2 weeks before
my last attempt. Since I was so close to having run out of time and would be
needing to go back and take my written if I didn't pass this last attempt I
felt the extra $$$ spent to ensure I had done all I could and get a little
extra insurance would be worth it.

It paid off well. I passed and it was well worth it. I learned 4 or 5 very
important things that for whatever reason I had missed, were never raised or
I never recognized through self study. I can't remember what they were now,
but I remember posting about them inj my "I passed" post so it is archived.
Anyway.....

Just keep going. Spend a little extra money on a prep class for insurance
and keep putting one foot in front of the other.....eventually you will get
there.

Chris

was pretty sure I aced it. I was half-expecting to fail anyway, because one
can never know for sure. I have given myself a week to sort out my emotions.
I have to say at this point that I am finding it very hard to go on. I will,
but I don't know why.

all the Internetworkexpert labs (I did all of them, twice), attended a
week-long boot camp (IPExpert), got every interface to ping every interface,
and it still wasn't good enough.
