BGP Question ( No Sync)

Hi All

I have a query about the NO SYNC .

I have following topology

R1______R2
                \
                \ __R3

R1, R2, R3 are in same AS and R1and R2 are FR ( where R2 is Hub and
ospf area 1 is running between them ), and R2- R3 is the normal HDLC
connection( OSPF area 0 is running between them).

BGP peering is done using the Loopback addresses , and peering is
working fine. Here R2 is working as Route reflector(only R2 is peer to R1
and R3,no peering between R2 and R3)

When I create a loopback on R1, and adverise with network command. It
reaches to R2 , but not as the best route and hence it is not send to
R3. Since the network was not redistributed in OSPF, I feel it is a
issue of Syncronization .so I disable the sync on R2 and then route is
avilable on R3.

Am I doing correct ?
Is NO sync is allowed in Real Lab exam?

Thanks in advance
