Nope access mode vlan and trunking mode native vlan are a different
setting on recent IOS switches.
-----------------------------------------
interface GigabitEthernet0/2
switchport access vlan 555
switchport trunk encapsulation dot1q
switchport trunk native vlan 4094
switchport mode trunk
switchport nonegotiate
no ip address
end
--------
sw#sh interfaces gigabitEthernet 0/2 switchport
Name: Gi0/2
Switchport: Enabled
Administrative Mode: trunk
Operational Mode: down
Administrative Trunking Encapsulation: dot1q
Negotiation of Trunking: Off
>>>>>>>> Access Mode VLAN: 555 (VLAN0555) <<<<<<<<<<
>>>>>>>> Trunking Native Mode VLAN: 4094 (Inactive) <<<<<<
Voice VLAN: none
Administrative private-vlan host-association: none
Administrative private-vlan mapping: none
Operational private-vlan: none
Trunking VLANs Enabled: ALL
Pruning VLANs Enabled: 2-1001
Capture Mode Disabled
Capture VLANs Allowed: ALL
-----------------------------------------
I remember that in CatOS it is the same setting for both access mode
vlan and native vlan but I haven't touched a CatOS box recently, so I
may be wrong.
