Qs about Frame Relay end-to-end keepalive

Hi group,

Question for you...

R1 ---------- Frame Switch ------------R2
 | |
 -------------------ISDN----------------------

I am configuring dialer backup on R1. When serial interface of R1 is
down, the ISDN is up. But how to control the serial status of the other
end of FR connection?
For ex, when serial interface of R2 down, R1 could not connect to R2 but
the serial of R1 is still up and the call is not triggered.

Could someone tell me how to configure such that when serial of R2 down,
R1 can trigger the call using backup interface? (it's something called
"end-to-end keepalive" but I have not found docs about it)
