I wouldn't trust show ip ospf virtual if I were you. It sometimes shows the
virtual link as up when it is often quite clearly down. Much better to use
the show ip ospf database on the remote end of the virtual link. If it
shows area 0 LSA's you can be sure that the virtual link is up and working
properly.
