VOIP Dial-peers with the "T" parameter

Howdy,
If I have the following configured:

dial-peer voice 1 pots
destination-pattern 2222
port 1/0/0

dial-peer voice 2 voip
destination-pattern 3333
session target ipv4:1.1.1.3

dial-peer voice 3 voip
destination-pattern T
session target ipv4:1.1.1.3

I fully expect to see a match when I issue the "sh dialplan number " on the
router where these peers are configured for patterns 2222 and 3333. My
question is: Shouldn't I see a match for any other number string I type
since my dial-peer 3 has "T" for the destination-pattern ? When I type "sh
dialplan number 9999" I should see a match for dial-peer 3. Instead, I see
the following:
R2#sh dialplan number 9999
Macro Exp.: 9999
No match, result=-1

The only way I can make it work is with 4 wildcards .... for the
destination-pattern.
Thanks
