I actually got the stand alone "T" to work on a voip dial-peer on a rack I
was on about a week ago. I don't know if it was the IOS on that rack that
allowed me to do it or what. I do know that if I configure the following on
my current rack:
dial-peer voice 1 pots
destination-pattern T
port 1/0/0
and then issue the "sh dialplan number 2345", it will show port 1/0/0 as a
match. If this works for pots dial-peers, why wouldn't the same logic be
applied to voip dial-peers? Thanks for the response !

I think a 'default' pattern needs to be:
destination-pattern .T
Which means at least one number then wait for the timeout.
