You should try upgrading incrementally. It's mentioned in the upgrade
notes which specific versions to upgrade to in each step. Upgrade to
version 3.2(3) first, reboot then upgrade to 4.5x.

Ian

Subject: CAT 5505 upgrade failure

 guys ;

i had a 5505 with sup II ,16MRAM and 8 flash , im trying to upgrade it
from 3.12 to 4.5 , but it didnt work .
i checked the documentation and the memory seem to be enough , there are
also two commands "download" and "copy tftp flash" both seem to work
fine..however in the documentation they recommend "download" for sup II
.

after the switch finish download the images ..and reboot automatically (
i dont know why) ..the show version command shows the same old 3.12
image ..and before that it gives an error ...i can post it in case
anyone wants to help..

what am i missing here ???
