If Cisco 2924XL can connect with 3COM LinkSwitch 3000 ?

Hello Guys,
I have Cisco 2924XL and 3COM linkswitch 3000 ,but when I
connect them with a 100Base-Tx(crossover cable), the station on both
Catalyst 2924XL working is fine and on both 3Com LinkSwitch 3000 too. But when
one PC inserted in 2924 ping other PC inserted in LS3000, the
performance is very poor , the loss packet rate is very high and
delay is very long.

I think these two product should can connect together.But maybe need
revise some default parameter , Pls tell me how to revise?
