IOS 11.2, Enterprise on 2502 -- SERIOUS headaches!

Gang,

I'm about ready to throw one of my 2502's out the freakin window here.
I'm having a problem with successfully loading ANY 11.2 image from flash. I
get the errors as shown below EVERY time I copy an 11.2 image. My goal is
to get an enterprise image into 8MB flash and 6MB RAM. According to the
hardware compatibility matrix and the IOS Upgrade Planner on CCO, this can
be done with 'c2500-js-l.112-26.bin', which appears to be the latest 11.2
release for this platform. For some reason, I keep getting this "%Warning:
File not a valid executable for this system" error, and if I go ahead and
copy the file, the boot rom (11.0) comes back and says "Running default
software" after it reloads, and never reads the 11.2 image from flash. I am
NOT compressing the image. The image is smaller than the flash. The image
requires 6MB, and I have 6 MB. The config register is 0x2102. I can even
do a TFTP boot from ROM monitor, and it does not load the 11.2 image. I
can't figure this out. I've tried erasing the flash, reloading, then
copying the file, and that makes no difference. When I do that, I get this:

Abort at 0x10B7CAC (PC)
>b c2500-js-l.112-21.bin 10.21.11.113

%SCHED-2-WATCH: Attempt to set uninitialized watched boolean (address 0).

The rest of the time, I just get crap like the following. Can anyone out
there gimme some advice? (Advice other than, "hey loser, upgrade the DRAM
flash in your router and load 12.x!") Thanks a million!
