remember that lacp port priority has an effect only on the switch with best (lowest) lacp system-prioriry
it is not related with active/passive mode, but with system-priority (you can find which switch is lacp master using "show lacp"; will be lowest MAC@ if both switches use the default priority)
The port-priority doesn't have an effect on the hashing, it is just used to control which ports have the best chances to be used into a port-channel (if not set, the lowest port-id will be preferred).
the best example I could find is when you have more than 8 ports bundled on a 3750 : only the 8 ports with lowest port priority will be used to forward traffic.
