Thanks for the reply.however i am using gig at the 4500 side i see that the
port is down at the 4500 side.

I have faced this issue in the live network where we have to change the
fibre cable as both the interfaces were up and bcoz of cdp we came to know
that there is unidirectional link failure as 4500 was able to see GSR but
GSR was unable to see 4500. we cant use UDLD in this scenario as GSR
interface is layer 3.
