The 3550s had a LIMITED lifetime warranty. Meaning, it was warranted for
the lifetime of the product, which ended on May 2, 2011, as stated
previously. More details can be found at

Note that this is for the "original end user," which I would image means
tying the serial number back to the original purchasing organization.

Note that the 3560s, 3750s, 3560-Es, 3750-Es, 2960s, and some other switches
also fall under the same terms (basically, you have up to 5 years after the
end of sale of the product.)
