Dear Experts,
I have recently joined an ISP who is about to start their DSL services in a
region. They have taken a 100MB line from their upstream service provider.
For the DSL setup they have purchased Cisco 7206VXR (NPE-G1) router to be
used as the BRAS server along with DSLAM devices. Also they have a public IP
block of /24 for customers who will require a static public IP address.
I have never worked in a service provider network before and in order to
setup the device I need some assistance. The Cisco 7206 has 3 gig
interfaces; one is terminating the Internet line. I need to request for
assistance in configuring the device to provide DSL services to its
customers.
What I want to do is to assign private IP addresses to the DSL customers
from a DHCP pool and setup public IP addresses for the customers who will
require static public IP addresses.
If anyone can provide me a sample configuration guide or a website link for
reference to setup this type of network, I will be really grateful.
Thank you in advance.
