Hi Edward,
"mpls bgp forwarding" appearing in running config depends on IOS version you
use. If I am not wrong, 12.4 doesnt show you this command but I-AS will work
fine.
What does "show ip cef vrf <> <prefix>" tell you?. Does it have the right
label populated?. Have you tried sending ping traffic with source address
explicitly specified?.
Also let us know the IOS version you use.
