first of all sorry for bringing out this dead thread from grave :)
Following helped me a lot to recover from this issue.
1- Make your posture correct, this single thing is more important than any
other suggestion or help.
2- Dont ever sit in "Ready to take action". Take away your fingers from
keyboard as soon as you dont need to be there. When you are reading then
dont put your fingers on keyboard in ready stance. It will help a lot.
3- switch your mouse. It will load balance among your right and left hand.
4- Purchase a Microsoft 4000 keyboard, these are great.
5- Should have a good chair with adjustable arm rest supports.
6- if you are using a laptop then try to hook up with external keyboard and
mouse (dont forget to switch your mouse with laptop also).
7- Take rest after each row of heavy typing. It will help also. CCIE is not
only about putting a lot of time but quality of time is a major factor too.
Hope these may help any one who is suffering or have sign to develop such an
issue.
Best Regards,
Nadeem Rafi
