I supposed this was directed at me so I might as well reply. First I'd
like to apologize to Joe, Rick, Scott and Narbik and any of the other
trainers I might have offended with my first set of comments. They are an
invaluable resource to all of us wannabe's. Secondly, this is no warzone
although I am a joker. I was simply stating an opinion. I also never
said that the OT stuff was unimportant I think everyone comes here for
different reasons especially people that already have their CCIE. I
merely suggested a course of action in requesting that Paul (if he still
runs this place) create a group with a more social focus. I'd probably
subscribe to it. I was stating an opinion. If anyone has any further
responses please reply offlist. That should put an end to the "war".
Thanks,
Keegan

Re: So What's Happening with Narbik Kocharians?
Thanks guys who answered my question. It really helps me to know what it's
in store for me by vendors and I have said it a few times that I do not
intend to step on anyone's tail here.
For those of you who wanted just technical questions saying this is a
waste of time, I would just like to say I am sorry if you feel that way.
There is always the option of IGNORING such mails rather than replying to
it and making it a war list (and by replying, you wasted 5 minutes of your
studies time). One basic fundamental skill that I learn so much from my
studies and my work life is 'get to the root of the problem' and the root
of the problem lies within those replies.
The question started as an innocent question but we had to have a few
jokers making a war zone out of this and no I am not referring it to
Narbik, Marko, Joe and the other vendors. They simply just answered what I
ask so thanks guys. That question was meant as just to share with anyone
who is interested in knowing what the vendors are up to for 2010. I did
not advocate advertising but merely asking what's in that santa bag of
theirs. They complied and people started calling it advertising.
So tell me, should I ask them in binary? If I have broken GS rules on
posting such a mail, then let me know albeit in a nice way not a "FY" kind
of way. None of us were as 'good' as we think we are today without going
through a hard curve in the beginning.
Peace.
