Yes, it's clear to most of us. However, those seeking to justify
their dirty deeds will debate you like lawyers on the meaning of all
of this (in spite of how plain the language clearly is). And once
they finally lose that argument, they will just claim that it's the
reseller's problem come audit time and nothing that they themselves as
CCIEs have to worry about. But Cisco is taking no prisoners on this
and I have absolutely no sympathy for anyone losing their digits for
their greed. Clearly the word hasn't gotten out very far, because I
still see people on LinkedIn groups and so forth staring conversations
within their groups looking for number rental opportunities. And
their real names are out there for the world to see. Even when people
don't use their real names when shopping around, who's to say that the
"reseller" contacting them in response isn't really a Cisco brand
protection lawyer wanting to find out exactly who they are and what
their number is?
But I suspect some of this is just plain and simple trolling. We have
members here who post under various pseudonyms and they love to stir
the pot and distract the list from technical and/or lab prep
discussion. Sick jollies for losers with no lives and nothing else to
contribute. This may very well be one such case...
