Re: Are we expecting any changes to the SP lab, in near future?

This is a big topic of discussion for the last 2 years I guess.
The OEQ's will be introduced for sure, my guess is Q1 2010. For what
Marko said, I also heard the stories, some of the very influential
people at Cisco's CCIE team don't like the SP track as it's not a
specific technology, but more of a different focus on Routing &
Switching.

They are also talking about introducing IOS-XR in the SP lab, but
that's also a long discussion as Cisco struggles with the high cost of
bringing those devices in it's own labs and of course it would be very
hard to build your own homelab, not even talking about the high cost
for all the vendors to update their rental racks :-)

I personally don't see the SP lab going away, as I would certainly see
a huge gap then in the CCIE line-up as the R&S definitely doesn't
cover al lot of important topics that the SP lab does.

We'll see, maybe at the next Networkers or Live event, someone could
ask the CCIE guys for some information on this :-)
