All,
I saw this strange behavior when i configured "auto-cost reference-bandwidth
200000" under the OSPF process.
After applying the command the router started flapping and there were
traceback errors at the same time. The flaps stopped once the command was
reversed.
I figured out the reason for the traceback which was due to the fact the
router was not able to reach the TACACS server when the OSPF went down.
But, the real problem is if there is a know issue with the auto-cost command
when applying on a fly that will make OSPF flap.
I don't want to encounter this in my LAB :(- also this seems to be a good
question for Troubleshooting section :)
