Hi Justin,
Several things i can think of:
- First read the complete task before you touch the keys. ;)
- know the technology inside/out so you have an idea what they want from you
and what direction you need to go. Dont be in the situation where you need
to read the summary overview of some technology in the lab.
- Accuracy in configuring the technologies, configure the stuff right at
once, you will win a lot of time with this. One tip; have the doccd next to
it when you need to setup a lot of stuff, like dot1x or private vlans so
you're sure you dont miss a step like activating the technology in global
config or anything other small config step related to it :). So doccd
searching should be one of your skillsets too.
- verify the config and move on
- dont get stuck on a task and give yourself 15120 minutes, if you have a
task that is unfamiliar and non-core skip straight away. You win points on
other tasks this way, when you've done the lab you can relax more and search
for tasks you skipped in a more 'relaxed' way. :)

Wouter
