bgp send-label with a route-map

Hi Group,

I have a question regarding bgp send-label operation. The functionality itself
is clear, but the only thing I can't understand is that BGP stops sending
labels with prefixes when I attach a route-map to a peer without "set mpls-
label" inside that route-map.

So why does it work w/o a route-map while requires "set mpls-label" if I
attach a route-map? What does the route-map affect? Does it "rewrite" NLRI or
what?
