Cisco should have a booklist on the website which gives you an introduction.
The only self-paced workbooks I know of is the one from ieMentor (Roman
Rodichev). I heard it's very good for the lab:

I'm also considering the storage CCIE, as it's a quite awesome technology
and usable on practically any equipment and totally in-line with the new
Cisco DC 3.0 strategy.
