Should be interesting. As you can see, just from the certs, that Cisco is
placing a lot of resources in the DC bucket. I hope Cisco is aggressive and
develops an expert level test (or multiple). Maybe we'll see something by
next year's Live? :)

Marc,
I'm speculating, but I wouldn't be surprised to see it very soon. With the
release of the all the specialization tracks in Data Center and their direct
connection to the Storage Networking track, it only makes sense that they
drop
Storage Networking and wrap it up with Data Center.

Partner Central now has a Advanced Data Center Network Infrastructure and
ADC
Storage Networking specializations and the push in the advanced partner
distinctions is a P level equivalency. Storage networking is listed in
General Certifications with no distinctions except that of IE, I expect a
push
for those distinctions at both the P and IE level.
I wish I had more juicy details than just that, DC stuff is a lot of fun for
me right now and I'm riding that learning curve. With your Nexus post last
week, seems like you're in the same boat.
@Anthony: I doubt testing on NX-OS is coming anytime soon, they have a hard
enough time virtualizing it during some training I was at and I highly doubt
we'll see 5k's showing up in testing racks anytime soon. I can't imagine
Cisco has even dug their way out of the R&D for the Nexus line yet, I seem
to
remember an announcement a few months back about 100 units shipped, they
aren't exactly flying off the production line yet :)

Ryan,
Are you saying there will be a CCIE DC coming out? That would be great!
Juicy details, please!

Adam,
Being in your shoes, I wouldn't really know where to start either. I think
if
I were going for storage, I would talk with Roman at IEMentor.
I could be completely wrong about this part, but I think the CCIE Storage
might be going away in favor of a CCIE Datacenter track. Or at least
storage
will be considered part of that track. There is a big push in DC right now
and it seems this track is most closely aligned.
